History[]
College[]
In college, Ulysses majored in the study of the effects of sound on different kinds of rock. He took an interest in the very rare mineral called Vibranium. It was capable of absorbing anything and redirecting it. Ulysses eventually became obsessed and he began attempting to convert the Vibranium into a weapon, which got him kicked out of college.
Wakanda[]
Ulysses managed to steal a small sample of the Vibranium and he escaped into the African country of Wakanda, ruled by Man-Ape. Ulysses was kidnapped for sneaking into the borders, but Man-Ape ordered for Ulysses to become his slave, which would keep him alive. Ulysses reluctantly carried out orders as commanded, but was plotting against Man-Ape.
Incident in the Mines[]
Man-Ape was forcing Ulysses to dig up some more Vibranium in the mining fields, and he gave the other slaves the day off in order to torture Ulysses. Finally, Ulysses decided it was time to act. He used his one sample of Vibranium, as well as his sound device. His plan was to blow up the Vibranium mound to create a distraction, but was caught in the blast, which destroyed everything in sound, including his physical body. Only his sound device remained in a crater of Vibranium scraps.
