- The citizens of Wakanda will never know of the good their King tried to do for them. I just pray that they are thanking me in heaven, and that they will give me the strength to continue being the Black Panther.

Born Into the Royal Family
T'Challa's mother, the Queen of Wakanda, died while giving birth to him, leaving all parental responsibilities to King T'Chaka. He taught T'Challa how to act as the Prince, and what his duties would be as the King. When T'Challa had passed all of his royal tests, his father showed him the Vibranium Mound beneath Wakanda, which only the workers knew about. T'Challa was amazed with the Vibranium, and his father told him that Vibranium was capable of absorbing any type of energy, and it was used in all of Wakanda's defense and offense mechanisms, which astounded the young T'Challa.
When T'Challa was thirteen years old, his father's business partner, Howard Stark, took a vacation to Wakanda, and he took his son, Tony, with him. When their fathers began discussing business, T'Challa and Tony became good friends. Tony soon asked T'Challa to show him what it was like to live in Wakanda, so the two of them would go on adventures around the small country all the time, but that ended when Tony's father was murdered by a mysterious assassin.
Tony Decides to Stay
After Howard Stark's burial, Tony informed T'Challa that he wished to remain in Wakanda in order to cope. Tony was given a room in the castle, and T'Challa was assigned as his official guide and trainer. He and Tony continued their adventures around the land of Wakanda, and T'Challa also taught him the ways of their fighting techniques, which he picked up on very quickly. Though Tony seemed best at meditating, which he seemed to do a lot of. T'Challa did not question Tony's methods, understanding that he was trying to find his own way.
Becoming the King
A few days later, the same assassin who killed Howard Stark took the life of King T'Chaka. He was given his own royal burial, and the Crown was given to T'Challa, who had no idea how to run his country. Things only got worse when Tony left to return to Stark Industries. T'Challa tried his best to remain brave and assure his people that Wakanda would still be safe with him as their King, and the country was willing to believe him. But the mysterious assassin was yet to be caught, and he continued to commit murders, and eventually T'Challa grew tired of his actions, and he wanted to do something about it.
