- When I first put on the suit, I thought the bonding process was going to kill me. Turns out it would've, if I wasn't already a mutant. So, in short, you've just dug your own grave, Spider-Man!
Bonded to the Suit
The man who would eventually call himself Scorpion was classified as mentally insane. He had his friend and scientist, Phineas Mason, create a suit with similar abilities to that of a Scorpion. Phineas reluctantly did as his friend told him, and he bonded the man to the mechanic suit, making the bond so permanent that he and the suit were one.
After the bond was complete, Phineas expected the Scorpion to help him further, but he assured him that he would no longer have to assist him. To prove his point, Scorpion murdered the man he once considered his friend. He then destroyed the lab to erase any evidence. It wasn't long until he was out in the open streets, killing anyone who wasn't fast enough to escape him, including the police, as guns did not seem to affect him.
Attacked by Ms. Fantastic
Eventually, Scorpion believed that the chaos he was causing would attract Spider-Man, which would give him the chance to kill him. He did not get the hero he was hoping for. Ms. Fantastic showed up soon enough to take him by surprise. He demanded that she bring Spider-Man to him, so she began mocking him, claiming she would "bring lots of jail time to him". This only irritated him further, and he attempted to blast Ms. Fantastic. But she created a force field which the blast ricocheted off of and nailed Scorpion in the dead center of his face, knocking him out, and Ms. Fantastic laughed saying she thought he'd be a lot harder to beat.
