History[]
Childhood[]
Sam's parents were very successful entrepreneurs and they never had time for their son. Occasionally they forgot he even existed. Due to Sam's status as their son, he was pretty much worshiped at school, which made it hard for him to make friends. When he attempted to, they would either become afraid of him, or ask for money, which really made him upset, and led to him almost killing himself, but he stopped himself just in time.
Derrek Gibbons[]
When Sam went to High School, he was given body guards by his parents in the off chance something would happen. Every day he said he would pay them to leave him alone, which they did. Sam later met a guy named Derrek Gibbons who genuinely wanted to be his friend. The two of them got along pretty well but Sam also began falling in with a bad crowd. He started hanging with the group of kids that skip class and smoke on school grounds.
The Accident[]
He and his new group of friends one day decided that they should rob a chemical plant in hopes of causing a big panic for the law enforcement. While there, Sam tried to stay away from the others, just wishing for it to be over. However, Synapse arrived and tried to stop them. Sam tried talking Synapse into letting him go, but when Synapse saw someone trying to escape he blasted a laser, but Sam wanted him to pay attention so he jumped in front of the laser. It electrocuted him and knocked him into a vat of purple chemicals, which then got electrocuted and Synapse thought Sam had been fried. He let that one guy escape, but he caught the others and waited for the police to see if Sam was still alive.
