Nina Tsumazaki is a member of Alpha Flight, a group put together by the Rebel Alliance to protect Canada.
History[]
The Snowbird Entity[]
After moving back to Canada after several years in the United States, Nina began suffering from depression. She began having suicidal thoughts, which she pushed back and ignored. One day, she succumbed to the thoughts and jumped off of the roof of her school. However, she was saved by a psychic entity that referred to itself as Snowbird. It showed her the value of life, and gave her a final choice: Die, or live life to its fullest as a host to the entity. Remembering her family and friends, she decided to play host to the Entity and became "Ice Queen".
Alpha Flight[]
After several years of protecting her country from Nick Fury's harm, Nina was confronted by James Hudson, who was forming a team. Initially, she believed she could do it all by herself, however she heard that Captain Infidel was planning to attack Canada, to take her out. This led her to accept James' offer, and joined Alpha Flight as one of the three founding members (Along with Walter Langkowski (AKA Rampage), who she would later become engaged to). Since then, she has worked together with the others to protect her homeland, and has successful purged it of all of Fury's military strongholds. This meant that they could protect more of the world, and they expanded operations to Alaska, where the team currently spend most of their time.
