- I'll always be there. Always. It is not powers, not the cape. It's about standing up for justice. For truth. This is what my childhood hero, and now my team leader taught me. As long as people like you are out there, I'll be there, always.
- - Superman
Kal-El is the son of the late Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van. When Krypton was set to be destroyed at the hands of Galactus, his parents managed to save him by sending the young Kal to Earth through a capsule. As the planet was destroyed, Kal landed safely on Smallville, Kansas, and was found by the couple Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent, whom named him Clark Kent. Discovering his powers early as a boy, Clark would grow and start a vigilante career as Superman, one of the 21st Century's first superheroes, and one who would be one of the most well known heroes through the world.
