"Life isn't exactly paradise for me either, Rogue. Just look at me. Would you expect anyone to love this ugly mug? No. Not only that, but I've had to go through endless crap, too, you know? My own brother killed my parents, and I was forced to kill him. You're not alone. We're here for you. I'm here for you."

History[]

Childhood[]

Henry had a pretty normal childhood. He was the best at everything he did, he was smart, he was athletic, and he was handsome. He constantly upstaged his younger brother, William. As he grew older he started going through changes. He thought it was just puberty, but it started getting out of hand. Especially when he noticed his feet were starting to look like actual hands, which freaked him out. When he did a DNA test on himself, he learned that he was a mutant. It took time to accept himself, but he still wouldn't tell his parents.

Graduation[]

A few weeks before Hank graduated High School, he confessed to William that he was a mutant. William saw this as his opportunity to finally be the favorite child. He went and told their parents that Hank was a mutant, but they still loved him, which made William even angrier. He ran away from home and left no trace. Hank went searching but wasn't able to find William anywhere. Eventually, he gave up and decided he would continue searching after graduation.

Forge's Revenge[]

Hank McCoy

Hank's Human Form

Even a month after graduating, Hank had no luck in locating William. After another week, he received a text message from William saying "What's that under mom and dad's bed?" Hank then rushed back to his parents' house only to find the portion where his parents' room was blown up and on fire. When the Fire Department showed up, Hank went insane and found his parents' dead bodies, but he swore he wouldn't cry. He searched the room and found a burned map with marked locations all over the city, indicating that one of them could be where his brother is. After searching through all of them, Hank was unsuccessful so he fell into a state of depression and was constantly drinking alcohol, illegally. Eventually his ID was proven to be fake so he was arrested and spent a few nights in jail until someone paid his bail.
