- I need this. I've always needed this. Being an Avenger, it sets me free. I can be who I always wanted to be. And I'm working alongside Captain America, though not the one I'd hoped for, it's still amazing. And the fact that they elected me leader, this is who I was meant to be. Giant Man.

Hank Pym is the genius level superhero that can alter his own size known as Giant Man.
History[]
Childhood[]
As a young boy, Henry heard tales of Captain America, and his adventures during World War 2. Hank started drawing and writing his own comics about a hero he called "Ant-Man" who fought bad guys just like Captain America. It was Hank's life long dream to grow up and be a superhero.
Teenager[]
As Hank grew older he gave up his childish dream, knowing the chances of that happening were 1,000,000 to 1. So Hank decided to become a scientist instead. After graduating from High School, he and his girlfriend, Janet decided to open Pym Industries, using his the fortune his father gave him in his will.
Pym Particles[]
Not long after opening up their first building, Hank isolated a particle that could alter any solid or liquid objects' mass to make it shrink or grow however the user intended. While Janet saw an opportunity for them to become famous scientists, the inner child in Hank was screaming out to him. Hank realized this was his chance to become Ant-Man, for real. He barely managed to convince Janet to go along with it, and they became Ant-Man and Wasp.
Heroic Career[]
It wasn't long after Ant-Man's debut that Pym Industries made a deal with Stark Industries. He sold his company to Stark, but it would still be operating as normal, just under Stark Industries supervision. Janet became furious with him, but she was a very tolerant woman. Hank decided he wanted to focus on being a hero, rather than a scientist. He also discovered he could use the Pym Particles on himself in order to grow and become Giant-Man. This caused Janet to become even more distant from him.
