- I was born an outcast, a runt. As is custom with the yahg, I was cast aside and left for dead. I was taken in by an old scholar, himself disgraced, who saw in me something redeemable. He raised me. Taught me. Trained me. And in return, I would become a vehicle for his revenge. Against an empire that failed him, that failed itself. Rejection, ridicule, torment... It made me stronger. I gave everything to win not just acceptance, but glory. Beneath my mask is the face of devotion and sacrifice.

Biography[]
Early Life[]
- I command Legions. Conquered worlds. Waged war across the galaxy to prove my worth. I alone am worthy of the Traveler's Reclamation.
- - Dominus Ghaul
Ghaul was born in Year YC3549, in Torobatl. An orphan and outcast, he was born both an albino and a runt, and thus was the subject to humiliation, ridicule and torment through most of his childhood. As a custom for yahg culture, Ghaul's nature as a runt led him to be abandoned and left to die. However, he was found by the Consul, a disgraced aristocrat and former scholar, who decided to raise the young child as his own, teaching Ghaul with the hopes that one day he would be able to overthrow Emperor Calus and bring an end to his fascist and totalitarian regime on the Cabal Empire. One of the Consul's teachings was the existence of the orokin and the existence of the Traveler, instilling on Ghaul the belief that the yahg rightfully deserved its power. He knew that the Consul was using him, but accepted the predicament because of his rise and upbringing.
Rise to Power[]
Ghaul was able to come to the Emperor's attention by becoming a new Gladiator in his coliseum. Ghaul's albinism, strength, and imposing physicality quickly turned him into one of Calus' champions and favorite warrior. Calus enjoyed amusing himself by pitting individuals who opposed or simply displeased him against Ghaul, which led the Emperor to re-consider using his prized Gladiator's skills as Primus of the Red Legion, becoming known as the "Ghost Primus".
Through his military career, Calus would love Ghaul as his own son, deeming him a good spirit and articulated visionary. During this time, Ghaul secretly communicated with the Consul, where they plotted a coup with the help of numerous close allies and enemies of the Emperor. At the right time, Ghaul, the Consul and his now loyalist Red Legionaries invaded the Emperor's court and killed him, his body being later thrown out of the Leviathan into deep space. With the death of Calus, Ghaul titled himself Dominus, the new leader of the Cabal Empire.
Under his rule, he would ensure that there would never be any more emperors, and that anyone who worked hard to attain greatness would be able to obtain it. The once decaying estate became heavily militarized and expansionist under Dominus Ghaul's rule.
