Quote1 I imagine a world where humans and mutants live in peace. We are already halfway there, and I believe the X-Men can make the process go by much quicker. Quote2
Professor X

History[]

Childhood[]

As a child, Charles was constantly pampered, he was given everything he wanted. After discovering he was a mutant, he decided to keep it a secret from the rest of the world, even his family. He began reading people's minds but eventually stopped because he did not like what he was finding out.

Enlisting in the Army[]

After graduating college, Charles was legally classified as a genius, and it was all thanks to his telepathy. He later decided to join the army in order to honor his family name, much like his father and many generations before him. He was deported to the war in Afghanistan, where he served for nearly three years, accomplishing several great things.

Paralyzed[]

During a raid on one of the enemy bases, Charles was separated from his group. He used his telepathy to guide himself through the base and eventually found the leader of the Afghan soldiers. He attempted to use a mental blast to take him out, but the leader had his own telepath to defend him. Charles's mind proved to be more powerful, as he rendered the other telepath catatonic. However, during this distraction another troop got in and shot Charles in the back, paralyzing him.

The Dream[]

Charles's mind was put in a state of flux and he could not think. The Afghans held him hostage and offered him as a bargain to the American troops. The government recognized Xavier was one of their most powerful assets and they agreed to the terms. However, when he was being held prisoner, his mind recovered but he still could not move a muscle. He started thinking that if the government had a team of mutants, they would be able to handle many more problems, so he knew what he would be doing after he was freed. The government betrayed the Afghans and managed to free Charles, as well as blow up their base. Due to Charles's paralysis under the waist, he was sent back to America for recovery, but he decided to retire in order to fulfill his dream.
