- I'm an actresss. I'm willing to play any role there is. Superhero? Avenger? No problem. But someone who can actually be supportive and helpful, that's a bit more of a challenge for me.
- Ms. Marvel
When Carol was very young, she did not see much of her father, who was serving with the Air Force. Her mother had become very distraught, so Carol was forced to take charge and make sure the two of them could make it by until her father returned. Carol had no problem with the life she was living, and she also had it very easy at school. Eventually, her father returned home, but he had been crippled. But that didn't matter to Carol, she still loved her father.
Carol had soon adapted to having a handicapped father, and everyone at school had sympathy for her and it gained her several friends, as well as popularity. This soon began taking her attention away from studying and her grades dropped. The only class she really paid attention in was Theatre Class, which she really had an interest in. It soon inspired her to become a famous actor in Hollywood, but her father had expectations that she would join the Air Force.
Running Away Before Graduation
About three weeks before her senior year in High School would be over, Carol confessed to her parents that she did not want to go to college or join the Air Force. Her father reacted in a negative way, demanding that she join the Air Force to honor the memory of her family, but Carol fought back, claiming it was her life and she got to choose how to live it. This disappointed her father and he said she had two choices; Get out or go to college. Carol decided to get out, and her father began believing she is not his daughter.
Carol took her car and began driving away, as far away as she could get. After a day of driving aimlessly, she remembered the reason she left, and she set a course for Hollywood, Los Angeles. When she arrived, she rented an apartment, and she soon cheered up and was glad she left. She loved her new life in Los Angeles, and she soon got herself an audition for a show titled The Secret of Success, which features a teenage girl being inducted into a super secret agency to fight evil, but she still had to go to High School and have a social life. After her audition, Carol was contacted, being informed that she was cast as the main character, Addison Waters.
