- Some people ask me, "Deadpool, how do you deal with the critics who don't appreciate your awesomeness?" So I say to them "I don't." And then I shoot the guys that ask me, just like I shoot those god damned critics.
First AppearanceDeadpool first made himself known when he was hired by a mysterious benefactor to assassinate Justin Hammer, a semi-famous business man who was hosting his own party. Unlike most assassins, who would shoot their target from another rooftop, Deadpool decided to attend the party as a guest, In costume. Weapons visible. During the party, he acted as if everything was completely normal, he even made conversation with Justin, and the two became friends. Before leaving the party however, Deadpool told Justin he got paid a lot of money to kill him, so he shot Justin in the head, grabbed a shrimp cocktail and left as if nothing happened.
After several more jobs, carrying them out in similar ways, Deadpool became the most known name in America. He decided to keep up with the fashion of the people, so he gave up his deadly mercenary look and traded it in for a black and red leather suit, using the excuse that it was cozy and allowed him to kill people faster than all of the heavy armor he used to wear. He defended his reasoning by murdering anyone who criticized him about it.
Appearing on the J. Jonah Jameson Show
Eventually, Deadpool even booked himself an appearance on the J. Jonah Jameson Show, featuring J. Jonah Jameson. Throughout most of the interview, Jonah was worried that Deadpool was going to shoot him, but Deadpool assured him he wouldn't or his agent would drop him. Eventually, Deadpool asked if Jameson had any kind of unpaid intern, so Jonah called out Ollie Osnick, who Deadpool shot and killed in order to make up for not killing Jameson. The guards then came in and confiscated Deadpool's weapons and informed him that Ollie's parents were suing Deadpool for murdering their son.
In Court Against the Osnicks
