"Why are you doing this?!"

"Because I think you're a half-measure. I think you're a man who can't finish the job. I think you're a coward. I think that this world needs men that are willing to make the hard call..."

"...That's the problem with men like you! It's never a hard call. It's too damn easy! Have you ever once stopped and asked yourself "How do I know this person is guilty?" Have you ever thought maybe choice was taken from these people and they did what they needed to survive. Have you even once thought that maybe the hard call is to show mercy to a person every fiber of you wants to wreak your vengeance on?"

Trivia[]

  • The name Bilal Asselah is a reference to DC character, Bilal Asselah/Nightrunner.
  • Bilal means "wetting, moistening" in Arabic, and was the name of a companion of the Prophet Muhammad.
  • Moshe is the Hebrew form of Moses, which is most likely derived from Egyptian mes meaning "son", but could also possibly mean "deliver" in Hebrew. The meaning suggested in the Old Testament of "drew out" from Hebrew משה (mashah) is probably an invented etymology.
    • This name was chosen in part to honor his mother's religion, and in his case, the meaning "deliver" and "drew out" are emphasized.
  • Aseelah is another spelling of the Arabic girl name Aseela which means "deep-rooted", "noble", "high-born", "creative".
