The Bifrost is a S.H.I.E.L.D facility dedicated to the global teleporter, which remains in the building. It is named after the rainbow bridge in Norse Mythology, following on with Don Blake's Norse fascination.

Bifrost Central - A bridge towards the top of the building with a circular platform on the end. A hole in the platform lets the energy of Yggdrasil (Which allows the teleport) to ascend.

Yggdrasil - A group of programmers on the top floor program the machine itself, with pinpoint accuracy, so a person merely needs to jump/step into the energy beam to teleport. It's the world's number one teleportation technology, and is much more efficient than the wrist-mounted devices used for short-distance teleport used by most S.H.I.E.L.D soldiers.

Telabport - The labs that work on further evolving Yggdrasil are called Telabport to lighten the mood of the base. The on site scientists spend countless hours working on it, upgrading the facility bit by bit.

Jotunheim - The area outside are regularly covered in ice to keep people away, pathways are cleared for permitted people. When ice is cleared, the ground is dark in colour due to the heat used to melt the ice when allowing people to enter.
