Childhood[]
Anna Marie's parents were farmers who did not wish to keep up with modern technology, believing it was corrupting the people of America. They wished Anna Marie would believe the same as them, but she disagreed, and eventually convinced them to allow her to go to public school. She tried to be nice to everyone, but she soon realized her parents were right. Several of the other girls at her school were rude to her and she regretted enrolling.
Leaving Public School[]
She soon told her parents what the other girls were like, so they contacted the school board, filing a complaint about bullying. They pretended to care, claiming they would do something about it, but the bullying stayed the same as it was before. Anna couldn't handle it any longer, so she asked her parents to take her out of public school, and they did as she asked, but they were happy they had finally gotten their point across to Anna.
Visited by a Strange Man[]
Not long after Anna had left public school, a strange man came to her house, wishing to speak with her parents. Anna was hesitant, but she let him in the house. Her father seemed to recognize the strange man, and he demanded that he leave their house immediately, but he refused. When Anna's father tried to force him out, the man sighed saying he did not wish to do this, but he murdered Anna's father, and then her mother. When he approached Anna, he assured her he wouldn't kill her, but she attacked him, grabbed his face. But something neither of them expected happened. She absorbed his life force, leaving him unconscious, but not dead, on the floor. Out of fear, Anna ran away.

Anna ran far away from her farm. She kept running until she got into Missouri, which wasn't very far from where she lived, but she was still scared. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. That same day, an old, but kind lady, named Irene found Anna and told her she could come live with her in Louisiana. Anna's young mind did not question the nice lady's offer, and the two of them left for Louisiana. When they arrived back at Irene's home, she used her abilities to make Anna forget about her parents, but there was still fragments of her memories left, but she chose to leave them untouched.
