Anguirus is believed to have existed for just as long as Godzilla. Anguirus has been referred to in multiple Native American legends ranging from a spike monster that fights other monsters to that of a traveling creature that protects the land from invaders, which they called Anguirus.

King Ghidorah Saga[]

Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah - 2014[]

During the fight between Godzilla and King Ghidorah in SIberia, Anguirus awakens in the Chihuahuan Desert, where he begins to travel north.

Mothra Vs. King Ghidorah - 2014[]

During the fight between Mothra and King Ghidorah in Dailan, Anguirus awakening is discovered by the United States government, who assemble a Monarch team to help capture the Kaiju with aid from the military.

Opertation: Anguirus - 2014[]

Anguirus makes his way through Arizona towards Nevada, when the military begins hunting him. The military begins their plan to capture the Kaiju by giving the two members of the Monarch team assigned to the mission, Newton Geiszler and Hermann Gottlieb as much of their resources as they could to stop the Kaiju. The two would devise a plan to both restrain and subdue to kaiju.

The plan would be put in effect once the Kaiju now called Anguirus made its way to Las Vegas. The army would use their weapons to lead Anguirus onto the strip and would proceed to trap Anguirus in the strip by blowing up certain hotels and buildings to block out Anguirus's escape route. The scientists would then have the U.S. military remote activate anesthesia canisters set up earlier as a way to render the Kaiju unconscious. This would not succeed however as the Kaiju would curl into a ball similar to an armadillo and roll through some of the buildings and escape the strip.

The next attempt to capture the Kaiju was when it was making its way through the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
